This painting is absolutely beautiful — and I won’t be modest about it! It marks my return to collage, to richness, gold, and all the little lights I adore. It’s also deeply symbolic — its heroes, the Bumblebees, have been calling for it. I have a strange bond with them — whenever an animal is meant to be my guide, it starts appearing everywhere. Recently, Bumblebees have been constantly surrounding me.
Three of them, which have already finished their life cycle, became my inspiration and models. This is not the last bumblebee painting — I know there will be more.
The Royal Series of Paintings was created while I was listening to Sarah J. Maas audiobooks — the entire Throne of Glass and Court series. These stories are special because their characters are never just black or white. They carry shades of gold, gray, and magic. I love this wisdom and how the books stepped away from well-known patterns into something that truly guides and inspires me.
The painting is decorative, rich, and vibrant — exactly how I like it. It hung in my bedroom as a trial, so I looked at it every day. I always recommend placing paintings where they can truly affect us. I believe that when the Bumblebees find their new home, they will be a beautiful and inspiring presence for their owner.
